Pop in the Park

We had a beautiful evening at POP in the Park on Sunday, August 18. Thank you to the musicians and volunteers for making it such a great event!

VOLUNTEER

Volunteering at POP in the Park is a great way to help people have a good time while getting to know new people at Prince of Peace. We need greeters, hosts for games, food servers and people to help with set up and tear down. Support our community life and register for a volunteer shift today.

FOOD

The Men’s Ministry will be serving burgers, hot dogs, chips and cookies. The famous Impossible Burgers will be available once again to provide a vegan option — please let us know you will be ordering this burger when you register. We are also bringing back our popular root beer floats in your very own POP souvenir cup!  Feel free to bring your own side dishes and non-alcoholic beverages.

New this year: We will have our popcorn machine going so you can enjoy fresh  popcorn while listening to music.

MUSIC

We are excited for you to be entertained by a live band made up of professional musicians from around the Twin Cities, including Prince of Peace’s very own Media Arts Director Darren Hensel.

There will be music for everyone as the band will feature songs through the decades! From the greatest 50’s hits to the best of country, we will have music that gets you on your feet and dancing.

Bring your lawn chair and dancing shoes!

MISSION OUTPOST FOOD DRIVE

As we celebrate, let’s remember our neighbors in need. Mission Outpost will be accepting donations at POP in the Park. A list of the most needed shelf-stable food items will be provided soon. Please bring your donations of shelf-stable food to the Welcome Tables.

PARKING 

Help us make sure everyone – especially families with young children or people with walking difficulties – has a place to park. If you can, please park in the lower parking lot (behind the old Christian Life Center) and walk to the Outdoor Sanctuary area.
